
Charles began is hotel journey in his home town of Boston, Massachusetts where he also completed college at Boston University. He began a ten year career with Hilton Hotels where he worked in training in culinary, stewarding, restaurants and banquets, attaining the position of Banquet Captain.
From there he went to work for ITT Sheraton for five years as Banquet Manager at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, Boston’s premier convention facility.
Desiring to enhance his experience, he became part of the opening team of Boston’s Hotel Meridien as a catering manager.
Change beckoned again and in 1983, Charles joined Westin Hotels and Resorts to open the new Copley Place Hotel as Catering Manager. This began a 16 year carrier with Westin which caused him to move with the company into Food and Beverage becoming a Director of Food and Beverage and eventually a Hotel Manager. He worked in New Orleans, Chicago, Kansas City, Indianapolis and Boston for Westin.
Charles then had the opportunity to become a General Manager and joined Omni Hotels and Resorts and worked in Charlotte, Miami and Washington DC.
In 2004, Charles joined Host Hotels & Resorts as Vice President of Asset Management.
Host Hotels & Resorts is the largest Hotel Real Estate Investment Trust in the United States with hotels in North, Central and South America and Europe. Charles’ responsibility is to manage sustainable growth for his portfolio.
