
Young mexican baritone, resident for second year at the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia, PA. From his recent performance of Respighi´s La Fiamma at the Kimmel Center the Philadelphia Inquierer said “…his text articulation gave such emotional life to the music that surfaces failed to matter…”. On the past summer, Mr. Cerón was succesfully recreating Count Almaviva of Mozart´s Le Nozze di Figaro in Arezzo, Italy followed just inmediately alter for a brilliant tour in Japan singing the role of Unzu in the japanese opera Yuzuru of composer Dan Ikuma.
Mr. Cerón made his professional operatic debut in the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City as Sulpice in Donizetti´s La Fille Du Regiment in 2004. Since then he has been invited to sing the lead baritone roles of the operas La Bohème (Marcello y Schaunard), Die Zauberflöte, L´elisi d´amore , Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Il signor Bruschino, Amahal and the night visitors , and others.
The quality and pasion of his performances has been a determinating fact to be invited to such great events like the official celebrations and concerts for the 150 and 151 anniversary of the Mexican National Anthem.
Mr Ceron has also performed in several Mexican premieres, such as Puccini´s La Rondine and Primo la musica poi le parole by Salieri.
He holds a Bachelor negree from the National Conservatory of Mexico as well a Diploma from the Mexico´s most prominent Young Artist Program, S.I.V.A.M, where he attended mastercalsses with Joan Dornemann, Denisse Masse, César Ulloa, and Lucy Arner, among others. He was invited to participate in the Portland Opera Performing Institute, as well as the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel-Aviv, Israel and Artescenica in Saltillo Mexico.
Among his upcoming engagements Mr. Cerón will be singing Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor at the regular season of the AVA, as well as a new production of Don Pasquale in Mexico City as Dottore Malatesta and Guglielmo of Mozart´s Cosi fan tutte in Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar.
